Movie Night

Long before Ella came along, Rob and I had a long standing tradition of Friday Night Movie Night. We would go out to dinner with friends (nothing fancy, pizza or subs) and then either go to the movies or rent a video.

That tradition has definitely suffered in the past 19 months. However, we decided it was time to revitalize it. Therefore, this weekend began with the first Weekly CederBaby Family Movie Night.

Given the festive Halloween mood around here, we decided our first movie would be Sesame Street's "Elmo Says Boo".

The whole family cuddled on the sofa with a tiny bag of M&Ms and some blankets.












Ella happily watched the video for 6 minutes (the length of time it takes her to get through a tiny bag of M&Ms).










Then, she was off to play elsewhere.

It may have been our shortest movie night ever but it was also our most fun one!











Of course, after Ella went to bed, Rob and I watched "The Happening", another Halloween inspired movie (that we, unfortunately, don't recommend). Next Friday night we're already planning on watching "Max & Ruby's Perfect Pumpkin" (and then IronMan after her bedtime). Our goal is 7 minutes of movie magic fun!
