When you set out to buy toys for children, you never really know what will capture their attention. Sometimes a beloved toy is expensive and exotic; more often it's something ordinary but exciting.

On our last trip to IKEA (a 45 minute drive, so it really is like a day trip) we saw a little blue pop tent. Rob and I debated back and forth whether or not Ella would like it. Finally, we saw that the price tag said only $9.99 so we decided to risk it.

Well, it turns out that it was money well spent. Ella regularly drags her favorite toys (and her Daddy) into the tent.

Here she is discovering the tent for the first time. If you listen closely, you can her her signature, "Ohhhhhh!"

Even though she was instantly intrigued, it was a full day before she was willing to actually climb inside. By night, though, she was completely comfortable in there.

This was a great find for under $10. Now we're on the lookout for $4.99 treasure!
