We first went in 2006 when I was pregnant with Ella and my cousin Bill was visiting from Atlanta. Last year, we took Ella and carried her in the BabyBjorn. This year, we could barely contain Ella in her stroller. Instead, she was up and walking around the fair.
The day got off to a slow start. Here's Ella, exhausted and laying on the floor at the top of the steps. She thought we'd never get out the door.
Once we finally got to the fair and saw the carousel, Ella was in heaven!
She rode once with Auntie Sara and once with Daddy.
After that, she got an energy boost from a HUGE piece of fudge (don't worry, Rob ate most of it).
The train, we learned the hard way, was not as much fun as the carousel.
They started off with high hopes but look how dejected and tired Rob (and the lady behind him) are in the next photo.

It far longer to load the train than it did to ride around the track. When it was over, Ella said, "all done" and jumped off.

Dancing to the Beatles coverband was absolutely the highlight of the afternoon. Watch this video and note Ella's new signature dance move! It had my dad, Rob, Sara, John, and Carole rolling with laughter.
Did you see it?!?!? Wasn't that a great dance-kick! After that, she was back to her regular
moves.
When she finds the rhythm, there's nothing to stop her.
As she got tired of the dancing she found a new game: walking in a circle around this hay bale with Daddy helping her up and Sara and John helping her down. She did that quite a few times.
All in all, a fantastic day!
