A Very Welcome Houseguest

There are two kinds of houseguests.

The first are wonderful visitors who bring warmth and humor into our home; they love and support Ella, Rob, and myself.
The second type of houseguests are wonderful visitors who bring warmth and humor into our home; they love Ella, Rob, and myself AND they go that extra mile to make my job as Mom a little easier!

My Aunt Ellen is the second type!

Towards the end of a busy day of playing, exploring, and eating out, Aunt Ellen said to me, "well, I'm taking Ella for the next hour. Where's her stroller?"

HALLELUJAH! That was music to my ears. While Ellen and Ella strolled around the neighborhood, I did laundry, made cookies, got a jumpstart on dinner, and then wandered around the house thinking, "wow, it's so quiet in here."

Don't worry, it wasn't all work and no play for Aunt Ellen. We went with her to visit Sara at work. Of course, Ella loved seeing the dogs, cats, and bunnies that were there for treatment.

Grammy and I are looking at the pictures. Grammy laughed hysterically at the part where you were so happy to see me take Ella out!!!! Mothers, no matter how old they are, NEVER forget!!!! What a wonderful visit. I got to see a great girl and two fantastic parents. What a lucky girl.

You should send Aunt Ellen down here. We could use a visit like that.
