Meet the Parents

Although the Rob & Lisa show was cancelled on February 22nd, in favor of the younger, hipper, more interesting Ella show, a few of our loved ones have still expressed interest in how the two of us are doing. Well, we're doing pretty good and are basking in the joys of first time parenthood.

If nothing else, Rob and I are giving off the illusion of calm. When we went to Ella's first doctor's appointment when she was four days old, several nurses and receptionists commented on how relaxed and happy we looked. We figured they were humoring the new parents and said thank you. Then one nurse looked at us really seriously and said, "no, you don't understand- you two are laughing and smiling. You're showered, dressed, and look nice. Also, you were not only on time for this appointment, you were 20 minutes early. That never happens with first time parents of a newborn."

Unfortunately, we can't take any credit for appearing calm, we owe it all to Ella. She's a pretty relaxed and happy baby who doesn't fuss much. Even at night she's pretty good- not perfect, but compared to the sleep deprivation horror stories we've heard, we're not complaining.

Here's Ella and mom getting ready for bed.

The weather has started getting nice. Here's Ella's first outing in her stroller with Grandma and Grandpa C.
