Anatomy of a Flip

Typically, nowadays when you hear about flipping it's referring to buying and selling real estate. In our house now, we're referring to Ella flipping from her back onto her tummy.

I'll take you through the fascinating process in slow motion.

Ella starts out on her back, enjoying playing with the jungle animals dangling overhead.

Next, she kicks her legs to build up momentum ...

and then she rolls to her side.

With one more kick of the legs and pumping of the arms, she's on her belly.

The only problem is that Ella can't flip herself back over and she's not sure what to do with herself once she's on her tummy. She's happy to be on her tummy for about 20 seconds, and then she hollers for Mommy or Daddy to flip her back over.

Watching Ella flip was the best present Rob could have gotten for his first Father's Day (second best was this Cookie Cake from Mrs. Field's).

I loved hearing about Ella's flipping. Now that I have met her it is so much fun to know how she moves her little arms and kicks her legs. Go Ella!!!
