On Thursday, December 8th, Sara and I proved how brave we are by taking all 4 kids (Ella 4 1/2, Julia 2 3/4, Jack 1 1/2, Corbin 4 months) to the Polar Express Train ride in Essex, CT. We started the day with lunch and shoping at Ikea, then headed to the train.

Ella and Julia, wearing their matching pajamas, were so excited to get on board.

Jack and Corbin also had matchign pajamas.
The kids had a fantastic time, and Sara and I had an exhausting time (but still good).
Here's Jack looking out the window at the holiday displays outside.

The train was really hot and a little crowded, so we all sat snuggled up together.

Mrs. Claus came around with cookies and their helper elves brought hot chocolate.

Santa gave everyone a magical Christmas bell. Check out the look on Ella's face! When he asked what she wanted, she said, "a talking piggy bank" (which she got). Julia said she wanted to "a present" (which she got).

The train ride was fun with singing elves, light displays, snacks, and gifts.

Love the matching jammies and hats!

The happy holiday cousins!
We had a great time but decided that next year, Rob and John are coming too!
