The Mark Twain Library

One of the perks of our lovely town is the Mark Twain Public Library. To slow down his hectic celebrity life, Twain built a home in Redding and lived here until he died in 1910. He started the library with 3000 of his own books, 200 of which are still in the library's collection. The library is beautiful as it's set back into the woods along a river.


I was a chaperone when Ella's class visited last week. We started out reading books in the beautiful Children's Room.

Ella's favorite thing in the Children's Room has always been the puppet theater. Here she is putting on a show.
