Snow Day

On Friday, Ella had her very first snow day. Since she hasn't really grasped the concept of a "weekly schedule" yet, she wasn't really impressed with missing school.

We got at least 10 inches of snow over the weekend and couldn't leave the house for a few days. Instead, we had to make our own fun in the house and the yard.

First, we decorated our gingerbread house.















To keep Ella from eating too many candies, we told her that the pieces were plastic and that only a few were made of chocolate (I know, I know, it was tricky!). On the video, you can hear her say that she's eating, "plastic" so it sounds like the tricky message didn't really get through.

Then, it was outside to play in the falling snow. Here she's playing in the already shoved walkway.

Ella was well-bundled for this expedition (but Rob, no joke, is wearing a light-weight windbreaker).

Finally, it was inside for some hot chocolate. Ella really likes hot chocolate as this video shows:
