Rookie Mistake

Just as Ella's in her rookie year of babyhood, and Rob and I are in our rookie year of parenthood, Sara's in her rookie year of Auntie babysitting.




As such, Sara made her first rookie babysitting mistake yesterday.










When Ella woke up, Sara got her dressed in a cute outfit and then fed her breakfast. Needless to say, sweetpotato and oatmeal were flying everywhere. Sara, her dog Franklin, and Ella were all covered in them.

Rob and I had already learned the hard way that Ella's mealtime fists of fury will knock the spoon right out of your hand (which is why we feed her breakfast in her pjs and then get her dressed).

It's a mistake you only make once.
