Ella's First Day of Kindergarten

 

 

Today was a big day for our family; it was Ella's first day of Kindergarten!!

 Here she is wearing her beautiful blue and red dress that we've been saving all summer for today. 

Here she is with her little partner-in-crime, Jack.  They're both wearing their backpacks. 

 Here she is with Daddy. 

The bus was late since it was the first day so we had about 30 minutes to play in the yard. 

Here's Ella with her special Kindergarten folder; she wrote her name herself. 

 This is her balloon nametag that ensures she gets to the right classroom. 

Jack started out excited but got a little sad as he waited for the bus.  He cried and cried when she got on the bus, even though she was smiling and laughing.

 When the bus finally came, Ella climbed aboard, gave one little nervous look back, then walked to her seat, looked out the window at us, and smiled and waved. 

The Boudreaus, our neighbors, told us that she was still smiling and waving when she got to their stop. Melissa got on and sat with Ella and the girls smiled and waved as the bus drove off.
