Portrait of an Artist as a Young Woman

Every week, when I do Storytime at the local preschool, Ella gets to play with her friends in the infant/toddler room. One day, she got to paint. (Thanks for Miss Courtney for sending these photos along!)



Here she is wearing a smock.


















She's definitely not sure she likes the smock.



















She does like the fingerpaint, though.















Like all great artists, Ella felt a little tortured by her craft (and the damn smock). Although she looks unsure in this photo, she quickly got the hang of it and had a great time!
